Atticus turns 7!!

It is true, Atticus turned 7 today (Nov 3)!! I am (as always) in shock how quickly another year has gone by! Today was a little low key since he is having his birthday party this Saturday.

We started off the day with chocolate chip pancakes (per the b-day boys request).

Then Atticus headed off to school. Before school was out I brought in Cookies and Cream cupcakes for his class (they were a hit).

After School it was present time!

Atticus chose Brick Oven (YUM) for dinner!

Atticus is our smart, funny, sweet, amazing little boy whom we cannot get enough of!! I say this time and time again because it is so true! When Atticus was born my life changed completely and it was for the better! We love you so much Atticus!! 7 is going to be a good one, I know it!

Halloween was pretty epic this year! Hearing things like, "coolest house on the block" more then a couple of times really boosts ones ego. Haha! Since before Keith and I were married he has wanted to do a haunted house. We never really lived anywhere that it would work well, until this year. So, this year we had a haunted garage! With the help of some nieces, nephews, a brother in law, and a few good friends the haunted garage was a HUGE hit! I am sad that I didn't get many pictures though.

While Keith was in charge of the haunted garage, I was in charge of a little Halloween party. Having spent most of the day at Atticus' school helping out with his class party I came home with an hour to have everything ready for our Halloween party... a little stress won't kill you right? Haha. Actually I didn't have that much to do since my sister April was bringing the chili (which totally rocked by the way). After we ate we headed out to trick or treat. The kids made out like bandits and we were home before 8:30! So aside from one tiny tantrum at the end of the night (from Harper) this Halloween was one of the best!

Crossing things off of our fall bucket list left and right! Oct 22nd we headed out to Staheli Farm. It was a blast and I can't believe we had never gone before this year! Did I hear someone say new tradition? Yes!

They had so many fun activities for kids, plus a petting zoo, a HUGE corn maze, a jumping pillow, a pumpkin patch, and so much more.

Harper thought we were there to pick corn not go through a maze! She kept saying, "wait we need to pick all of this corn!"

Monday Oct 17th found us at Tuacahn Theater for The Little Mermaid! Tuacahn is a HUGE outdoor theater and is AWESOME! We went with 2 of my sisters, a nephew, a niece, and my Dad. We all thoroughly enjoyed the show and can't wait for next year when they will be performing Aladdin! If you are ever in Southern Utah and have the opportunity to see a show at Tuacahn don't pass it up, you won't regret it!

Last Weekend.

So I am behind as always! Last weekend we headed down to California for Keith's grandfather's funeral. It was a beautiful service. Grandpa Lee was an amazing man and will be missed by everyone who knew him!

Atticus and Harper got to spend time with some cousins and of course loved every minute of it! Side note: Harper was obsessed with Peewee (the dog). It was love at first site!

We also were able to surprise the kids with a quick trip to Disneyland! I didn't take that many pictures, but we had a lot of fun!! The new Star Tours and Little Mermaid are awesome. Ride them, you won't regret you did!

The kids and I decided on some activities that we definitely want to do this fall season, and made a bucket list (I ♥ photoshop). I saw this seasons bucket list idea on another blog a couple of months ago and am now hooked on the idea. Harper and Atticus are so excited to do the activities and to get them checked off of our list! I will admit it I am just as excited as they are! My favorite season is fall. How could it not be? My name is Autumn after all ;P. I tend to get this giddy feeling when the leaves start to change and the air becomes crisp! Does anyone else get this feeling?

Grilled Mozzarella and Roasted Garlic Pitas

The ingredients can be adjusted to however many pitas you need to fill. This one is based on filling 4 pitas.

-1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese

-portobello mushrooms

-4 whole wheat honey pitas

-garlic spread

-butter

-1 large tomato

Directions:

First coarsely chop mushrooms and tomato then throw into a skillet with a little evoo till warm (about 5 minutes)

cut pitas open and spread inside with garlic spread

mix mozzarella,mushrooms, and tomatoes in a bowl

fill pitas with the cheese mixture

brush outside of pitas with butter

grill in a skillet until bread is golden brown and the cheese is melty (about 4 mins on each side)!

Tried this recipe out this evening and it is a winner! My meat loving husband approved and devoured this meatless dish! Sadly I don't have any pictures to go along with it, but trust me when I say it is delish!

Atticus Started 1st grade on August 15th! We were sad to see lazy summer days go, but Atticus was SO excited to start school and make lots of new friends!

I am a lucky Mom, and I know that! My kids are generally good kids! Harper however is in that stage where she wants to do EVERYTHING the older kids are doing and does not like to be told no, then throws a fit because of it (I think this has to do with her age), and I have been getting frustrated. I checked out a book from the library called, The Brat Stops Here. It so far has been giving me a few good tips, but really it has shown me that I have some pretty good kids. Some of the examples of other kids behaviors make my kids look like saints. So, I think I am going to keep doing what I am doing, return the book to the library, continue to enjoy my kids (fits and all) and have an awesome summer! I hope everyone had an awesome first day of summer!

Chicken Ole! Need to have dinner ready in about 30 minutes or less? This is the recipe for you! Quick and yummy!

Keith had his over chips.

Ingredients:
-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
-2 cans whole kernel corn
-1 can diced tomatoes
-1 can diced chilies
-1pkg chili seasoning mix
-tortilla chips or lettuce
-cheese
-sour cream

Directions:
-cut chicken breasts into strips
-heat 1 TBSP oil in large skillet and cook chicken until just about done
-stir in 2 cans undrained corn,can of tomatoes,can of undrained chilies, and chili seasoning mix
-bring to boil, reduce heat;cook for about 10 mins, stirring occasionally
-Serve over tortilla chips (or lettuce)
-sprinkle with cheese and sour cream.

I had mine over lettuce. Also a big plus, the kids love it!

Baked Eggplant! So, I have been in need of some new recipes to throw into the weekly mix and came across this delish eggplant recipe! Not only is it on the healthy side, but also on the cheap side too. That is a win win in my book!

(Served with salad and cheesy broccoli)

Baked Eggplant:
1 eggplant, peeled and sliced into rounds (not too thin but not too thick. I got about 6 slices from one eggplant.)

2 eggs, beaten

Italian seasoned bread crumbs

Spaghetti sauce

Shredded mozzarella cheese

Grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon dried basil (or fresh if you have it!)

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Take a baking tray and line it with foil, then give a good drizzle of olive oil all over it.

Dip the eggplant slices in the egg, then the bread crumbs . Give it a good breading on both sides. Then lay on the baking tray.

Repeat for all remaining slices (do not overlap...make sure they are all a single layer) and then put in oven at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Flip slices, add another drizzle of olive oil if needed, and then bake for another 10 minutes.

After they are done, drizzle some spaghetti sauce over and around them. (I used a tomato and basil spaghetti sauce and it was SO good).

Then sprinkle some mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top. Also give it a nice sprinkling of dried basil. Bake for another 20 minutes or so, until cheese is nice and melty and golden brown.

On May 4th little Miss Harper turned 3 (although some days it seems like she has the attitude of a teenager)! My little baby is gone and has been replaced with a little girl. At the end of April we took a quick little trip down to Southern California to visit family and "the happiest place on earth" Disneyland! We had a blast!

Our first night (April 26th) we headed to Keith's Grandpa's house for April/May birthday celebrations and some family time.

Harper was very excited to get to celebrate early!

Our second day (April 27th) was spent at Disneyland and DCA. Wednesday was a good day to visit, the lines during the day were extremely short and we went on a ton of rides before 6pm. It was a long, fun, and tiring day! On our last day we slept in and hit downtown Disney and then headed out of town. We always have a fun time when visit CA.

Harper was SO excited to meet Mickey. She was running all through his house looking for him. When it was finally our turn she ran with open arms to him! Atticus told us "I am too old to hug Mickey." They grow up too fast!

Harper's first time on Gadgets Go Coaster, and she loved it! I need to work on not cutting peoples heads off.

It really is! So, I am going to try out a new to me weekly thing that I found through the fabulous Aimee over at Thanks for That Info Aimee and I believe she found it over at Liegh Ashley. It is wee bit Wednesday.

{one} how often do you do laundry?I seriously feel like I have a terrible magical laundry basket that is NEVER empty and I am constantly doing loads of laundry! On average though I would say 2 days out of the week are laundry days.
{two} what is your favorite type of cookie?

{three} what would you do with an extra $2000 per month?Put half into the kids college funds and I would like to say fun traveling with the other, but most likely it would go into savings or maybe a little of both!
{four} what was/is your favorite subject in school?English and Newspaper.
{five} have you ever ridden in a hot air balloon?No, and I am not really sure that I want to.

{six} what was your high school mascot?I was a Vanguard!

{seven} if you had the chance to go into space, would you?I am not sure! Although it would be an amazing opportunity I am just not sure I could handle it! We will see though if it ever comes up ;P

{eight} how often do you go dancing?Haha, I dance around the house all of the time, but actually go out dancing? The last time I went out dancing it was 2003! So, not often at all.

{nine} would you rather drive or fly?It depends on how far, although I do love a good road trip. I am going to say both!

Kiss Me I'm Irish!

St. Pattys was a fun one this year! Atticus decided that he wanted to catch a Leprechaun so he could get his treasure! So, we built a Leprechaun trap (instructions here). Unfortunately that sneaky little Leprechaun got out of the trap before we woke up, left a tiny little note saying, "nice try, better luck next year", and created mischief all over the house!

That sneaky little Leprechaun left all of our Kitchen cupboards and drawers open, got into the Lucky Charms, played a little PS3 (he left a note about it ;p) turned the kids toilet water green, and turned our milk green as well. He did however leave gold candy all over along with his mischief so I think the kids forgave him for the craziness!

That afternoon we made rainbow cupcakes(it seemed fitting) and topped them with cream cheese frosting and green sprinkles! Everyone is excited for next year!

It was also a certain beautiful young lady's 16th bday *cough* Aubreana *cough* I say it all of the time, but it is true every time. I can not believe how fast time flies! We love you Aubrey!

Sadly the day after also marked 16 years ago sweet little Anthony passed away. I remember him being so excited to visit his new little (almost 10 pound) sister! He was the smartest 2 year old on the block, and the cutest by far! I am so happy to know in my heart that we will see him again!

Yes, we did it again! We packed up all of our belongings in a big moving truck and set our sights on Southern Utah. Decisions were made quickly and everything fell into place pretty much perfectly and made it that much easier to see that we were making the right move for our family!
We are almost all unpacked in our new house and the kids have already started making friends!! <3

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun as always! We headed up to Utah on Wednesday evening. As soon as I got out of the car I seriously thought I was going to freeze to death!! We were sad that we were missing some family this year but hopefully they can make it next year! Thursday started with family pictures, and they actually went pretty smoothly! I have many fail family pics to post in the near future! Haha! We ate around 5 and all of the food was delish! Let me just say, if you have never had deep fried turkey then you are seriously missing out! SO GOOD!! Everyone did such an awesome job and it was definitely enjoyed by all!! That night we had our annual white elephant game and this year there were some uh, really, uh nice things wrapped up ;P. Lots of fun to see what you happen to unwrap. The rest of the weekend was filled with games, good food, shopping, more games, and Tangled! Tangled was really cute!! Harper was glued to the screen and her popcorn. I also got an early birthday present. My parents got me a new bike and a trailer to pull the kids in! I LOVE IT and so do the kids!! Thanks Mom and Dad!
We also decided to start couch to 5K I am excited! I am already looking forward to next year!!

If you are ever in Las Vegas and you have kids, I recommend checking out the Lied Discovery Children's Museum for sure! Atticus chose to skip school on his bday and go there. Little did he know he would be learning but was having so much fun he didn't care or notice (we even watched a science show full of experiments)! Everything is hands on, which is awesome for kids and parents...less worry of something being broken that shouldn't have been touched! Atticus said his favorite was the science tower and the green village! Harper enjoyed just about everything and threw a fit when it was time to leave 4 1/2 hours later! Atticus turned 6 on the 3rd! Can you believe it? Time flies and I know I will be saying the same thing when he turns 16, but where did my little boy go?? Haha!
This year he decided against a party and chose to skip school (shhh!) and spend the day at Lied Discovery Children's Museum (a future post). The kids had so much fun, and Keith and I did too! I see many trips in our future. He had requested pizza for dinner, so that night we had people over for pizza and cake! It was a good day!
There are so many words to describe Atticus, it is hard to only pick a few! He changed our lives so much (for the better) and continues to bring joy and laughter into our lives daily! He is such an awesome big brother and the best son! I couldn't imagine my life without him! Atticus we love you so much and hope you have an amazing year being 6!

On Saturday night we headed to Springs Preserve for their annual "Haunted" Harvest. It was a lot of fun but VERY crowded! The kids did a little trick or treating, played some games, saw a sword swallower, and a fire eater. They also had a performing arts group doing different acts (dances, songs, etc) and I have had the one awful song stuck in my head since Saturday! Can't wait to go around Christmas to see their lights display! (pictures below)

Next up HALLOWEEN! We started the morning off right with ghost pancakes! Had a nice relaxing day, Mummy dogs for dinner and then got ready to meet up with some of the kids friends to Trick or Treat. Everyone had a great time and Atticus was even brave enough to go into a couple of the neighborhood haunted houses with Keith! He said that being Batticus helped him to be brave!

This little guy is a Coati I think...he is a part of the Raccoon family and he was going through bags and stole Harper's Gatorade right from her hands and started to drink it! It was funny to everyone except Harper.

Just 45 minutes from Las Vegas in the little town of Moapa you will find Roos-N-More an ed-zoo-cational zoo. This place is awesome! The kids and I went on the 13th with a school group of about 25 (ages 9months-15 years) and had the whole place to ourselves! The kids got to do many once in a life time things (well, until we go again) like feel the inside of a kangaroo pouch, pet a sloth, hold an otter, play with a monkey, play with a binturong (and have it crawl all over them), pet a toucan, pet an ant eater, feed camels (some even "kissed" the camels), pet a baby porcupine, and the list goes on! I took a ton of pictures and some video, but will not overload you too much with pictures! I will however post all of the pictures on facebook if you would like to see them all! I definitely recommend going to roos-n-more and if you can book a private tour on a day they are closed to the public!

So, a little bragging is in order! Haha. Atticus took the DRA test and scored an 18! I am not sure how they score it, but his teacher said that other kids his age score a 3 or 4! She also said that he could read 2/3 of the third grade word list! He will be in a reading group with second graders and may even skip ahead a couple of grades (not sure how I feel about that one though). We will know more in the next couple of weeks and will update. I am SO SO proud of Atticus! I can't believe how quickly he is growing up. ♥

Last Saturday Keith's company was doing some filming on a music video for B.Taylor. That night I was invited to join them for the last few shots (thank you Buddy for babysitting on such short notice!) I ended up having a lot of fun! The behind the scenes stuff was cool, the music was good, and getting to see Keith be in charge of people was hott! Haha. The music video was shot at this 4 story mansion that was a couple of mansions down from Wayne Newton's. I didn't get any good pictures of the outside since it was dark and all I had was my Iphone to take pictures with, but it was huge!

For the 4th of July we were invited to Nellis AFB by my sister Allison who is stationed there. They had booths, rides and bounce houses galore! The kids had so much fun, and I was glad to get to hang out with two of my sisters (Allison and April) and their families!

I can't believe it has been about a whole month since I have posted! Let's see...we moved to Vegas on the 28th and are still unpacking boxes! Haha. Atticus loves his new bedroom, talks non stop about starting school and is growing like crazy! Atticus has been doing really well this month learning to count to ten in Spanish. Although he likes to say Five-o when he gets to 5. Haha.

Keith got a new job, since his last employer decided to take off without paying his employees, and owes us quite a bit of money. We are excited though since his new job is awesome and a great opportunity for him and us (he is a web developer).

Almost every morning after Keith leaves for work Atticus comes and gets in our bed, then Harper wakes up and "attacks" Atticus. Laughter and smiles ensue! <3! It's even better on the weekends when Keith is home and our bed is super crowded! Haha.

Last night we went to Grandma and Grandpas house (my mom and dad) and Amber and her kids were there too. We had a lot of fun playing Buzz Quiz TV! Jayden even gave Atticus a piggy back ride. We are so excited for next week when ALL of the Wilb cousins will be here!

Atticus is a healthy growing boy! He is 3ft 4in and 36 lbs. He was really nervous about getting his flu shot (we are doing his immunizations next month). The second it was over he looked at me and said, "Oh, that was ok." Haha. Hopefully next month he will remember that it wasn't as bad as he thought.

Harper J is growing and healthy too! She is 17 lbs even and 25 inches long. She did really well up until the shots. Poor baby!

I know, these are a week overdue. Here are some of the pictures from Atticus' B-day celebration! We had awesome company, food, and fun! Thank you to everyone who came, called, and gave/sent presents! Atticus had a lot fun!

*A side story, Allison and Buddy gave Atticus sea monkeys, which Atticus wanted to do right away, but soon forgot when he ran off to play with some of his cousins. Anyway later that night he asked me if we could do them and here is how the conversation went:

Atticus: but we need to do it now, so we can grow our pet monkey
Me: Atticus it is sea monkeys, they are itty bitty, it's not a monkey
Atticus: No, mom it grows a monkey

Atticus: mom are you telling the truth? ( I always ask him if he is telling the truth when he says something silly)

The time flies by so quickly! Atticus Erik was born Nov 3, 2004 at 5:14 pm, 8lbs 14 oz. 19 inches. He was such a cute chubby little baby, that Keith and I were and are so proud of! The instant we saw him and got to hold him was love at first sight.
Atticus is our silly, smart little boy who loves everything.

*some of his loves include:
-sleeping in
-reading books with mom and dad
-going to the park

-the PSP and PS3

-and so many others that would take many days to finish the list. :)

*Some things Atticus has been doing:

Harper went as Olive aka Little Miss Sunshine. The only thing she is missing is some huge glasses, which I doubt she would have worn. She was a cutie though and did a good job sitting in her stroller while we walked around.

This year was a lot of fun! We started by going to the trunk or treat at Lins...which ended up being a bust...like 3 other cars besides us were handing out candy, even though there were TONS of parents with their children, so we headed on over to grandma and grandpas to trick or treat. Grandma had some good candy! Then we came home and went around all of the houses on our block and a couple of streets over. When we were a couple of streets over, we acquired a little buddy. A little cat...maybe a few months old decided to follow us around. It was fine...until it decided to dart into someones house while Atticus was trick or treating. The lady was shocked and asked us if it was our cat. It was funny, until it kept following us trying to dart into each house that we went to. Then it got really annoying! After we ditched the cat, we hit a few more houses and headed home. It was a good night!

The seeds before they met the oven...we mixed them with butter and garlic salt. They were pretty good.

What can I say? We are a Disney family, and so are our pumpkins...haha. It was Atticus' idea to put the ears on the pumpkin, and he was cracking up the whole time!

Atticus and Harper still love hanging out together! They are too cute, I am always taking pictures!

Atticus is such a crack up! His newest obsession is the word poop. Lovely right? He always finds some way to add it to a question or answer, and every so often he just randomly makes it it's own question. "Poop?" He is so excited for his birthday(he will be 4 on the 3rd). Every morning he tells me, "you know it is almost my birthday right?" I always answer like I am confused and he just laughs. Atticus is a little smarty pants, he can write and spell his name all by himself! Although sometimes the u is an o. More of his accomplishments on his b-day!

Harper turned 5 months old earlier this month and I never did a post...sad. Harper is still eating like a champ! She also started eating jar foods earlier this month, and she loves almost everything we give her! Her favorite is carrots, and her least favorite is bananas. She will take 3 bites of bananas if I am lucky. It's funny, if she doesn't change her mind about bananas then she will be just like Keith (he hates bananas), and Atticus is like me (we love bananas). Harper also is sitting up on her own for a few min at a time...sometimes longer. She is such a happy girl. I can't believe that she will be 6 months on the 4th.

Our friend Trevor brought over Rock band 2 and his X-box last weekend (Rock band 2 by the way is awesome!) anyway we had our PS3 drums by the X-box drums and Atticus got up and went to town! He loves everything and anything that has to do with drums and rock band. I think (hope) he will be musically inclined like his daddy. So far so good! I can't believe that Atticus is almost 4 years old!! <3.

Last week while Amber was recovering Keith picked Austin and Jayden up from school. The first day we all went. Harper LOVED Wennie (I am not sure on the spelling)...she would not take her eyes off of her, and anytime she was close enough Harper would try to grab her. She did almost get the dogs ear in her mouth, but my quick moves avoided that one! Wennie was so good with Harper too, she didn't jump on her at all. I even got Austin to hold Harper so I could get a picture. At first he was having no part in holding her, but then was ok with it. After he gave her back to me she would NOT stop "talking" to him, both of my kids LOVE Austin. No, pictures of Jayden and Atticus, they were too busy playing in Jayden's room. <3.

Side note on the picture above. Before the wedding I found out that buddy had a niece named Scout. I told Keith, "I have to take a picture of Atticus with Scout, it would be so cute!" Wow, this past weekend was busy! I have a feeling this next weekend will be the same. So, onto our busy fun weekend. On Friday Keith, Austin, and I got to go see Smash Mouth. They played at SUU in Cedar City. I know crazy huh?!? Then Saturday Keith and his friend/drummer threw a house show at the drummers house. They built a stage and everything. 6 bands including The Robots Guide to Living played. It turned out awesome and was a lot of fun. Jayden spent the night on Saturday, and then Sunday was actually not busy. Today I had my second interview at the boarding school and they said they will let me know by Friday. Keep your fingers crossed! Coming up this weekend is Allison's wedding, so more fun to come.

Our little 4 month old! Harper is 14lbs 8oz and 24 inches long. The Doc says she is growing along the growth chart keeping everything average (50% range). Harper is such a cuddle bug just like Atticus, and now that she can use her hands really well she loves not only grabbing everything that she can, but she loves to touch faces. She loves rolling over, "talking",laughing, playing with Atticus, rice cereal, taking walks, going to the park, and so much more. Harper is such an active baby. We love our little girl. Atticus was active, but lazy at the same time...he LOVED (and still does love) sleeping.

Atticus is always entertaining Harper. She loves him so much. She sees his face and smiles so big! Atticus is going to be 4 in November...he is growing up so quick! All he talks about lately is going to Disneyland, "and when we go to Disneyland next month I can go on Star Wars and Tower of Terror right?" Haha, he is so excited that he gets to go on the "bigger" rides now that he is tall enough. We love our big kid!

So, a couple of days ago Keith's friends brought over his late B-day present. Yeah that HUGE amp behind him! His friends are so good to him (thanks Trevor and Brian)! Keith was and still is so excited. He loves his new amp. Atticus was in shock...he has never seen an amp so big. In the picture it looks like Keith is taller then the amp, but he is actually a little bit shorter then it. So, that is over 6ft 3in.

So, I am up and running with the new pictures...All of my others are still stuck on the other computer...for now anyway. Life goes on. On Sept. 4th Harper turned 4 months old. CRAZY!! Time is going by so fast! On the 8th she tried rice cereal, and to no surprise she LOVED it! She goes for her check-up and immunizations this Friday, so more stats and fun things she is doing then. <3.

Atticus' new favorite is pizza lunchables. He calls them the Star Wars pizza things (the box has characters from the new Clone Wars cartoon on it). He eats them all up. Such a cutie!

On Monday I made tacos, and they were yummy. So quick and easy! Instead of just microwaving the black beans I baked them in the oven with cheese, and then topped with sour cream...yummy! Anyway, more pictures tomorrow! Hope everyone is doing well! <3.

So, I have not posted in a while, due to the fact that my pictures are stuck on the hard drive of our other computer. Yes, so sad! The day before a screw decided to melt and ruin the power thing in the computer I uploaded ALL of my pictures from my camera and then deleted them off of my camera. Keith has assured me that they are still safe, because the hard drive is fine. Pictures you missed out on....Keith's 23rd b-day(Sept.2) get together, with his awesome star wars cake, and fajitas ( I made both myself). Then some cute pictures of the kids. I have new pictures to post..so hopefully tonight I will get around to it. Sorry for the lack of posting, but that is my excuse and if you ask me it is a pretty good one! Haha! <3.

So, this morning Atticus was eating his cereal and I was feeding Harper when I hear, "mom I hurt myself." I put Harper down and run out to see what happened. Atticus had a little slice (no blood) on his arm from his plastic spoon....plastic utensils are dangerous! Anyway we went and cleaned it and put some neosporin on it and before I could put the band-aid on Atticus says, "No mom the band-aid will hurt." So, I replied it will not hurt, it will help make it better." To which he said, "ok mom if it is bandaid brand I will wear it." What? I was laughing so hard. Where did he get that from? My son the 3 year old band-aid snob. Haha.

We have been so lucky this summer to have our sisters (mine and Keiths) and all of Atticus' and Harper's cousins come visit us this summer! This last weekend April and her kids came for a visit. We did the slip n slide, picked peaches, visited and fed the cows...and Miss. Alaina let me do her hair! We had so much fun and are happy that you guys came to visit. We miss you!

Last weekend we got to enjoy the Washington County Fair. We all had an awesome time! Atticus must have thought we were going to Disneyland because when we asked him what ride he wanted to go on he said, "Buzz Lightyear". He did have fun on the rides though. He even met a cute new friend. Harper slept most of the time, and Keith was happy that he got a funnel cake. It was so good, and reminded us of Knotts Berry Farm. Atticus even got to sit in a limo. PS: My blog turned a year old last weekend, hence my URL...long story short I thought I was naming my blog post not my URL. So if you ever wondered why it's fair fun, thats why. Haha.

Also on the 7th was mine and Keiths 4th wedding aniversary. On that Saturday my parents watched Atticus and Harper (THANKS mom&dad) while we went to the movies. We saw Pineapple Express...SO FUNNY!! In just a couple of weeks it will be 5 years since our first date....AWWW. Haha. In the picture above we were like half asleep, it was about 1 am and I was like we need to take a picture for the blog. LOL.

This video is from today, but it all started about a week ago. Atticus saw a movie trailer for Mamma Mia and kept saying how he wanted to see the movie, because he really liked the song. So, I found the song on youtube and he listens to it every other day. Well, when we listened to it this morning Harper started laughing because I was pretending to sing. So when Keith got home from work I wanted to see if she would do it again and she did! At the end is a quick shot of Atticus.

Harper is hooked...lol! I was loading the dishwasher a couple of days ago when Harper woke up. So, I put her in bed with Atticus to see if she would be lay with him while I finished loading. She seemed fine, and when I came back a few minutes later the above pictures is what I found. <3!

This morning Harper started rolling from her tummy to her back! Everytime she rolled over she had a shocked look on her face. Atticus thought this was a great trick and kept saying to her, "okay Harper roll over"
I can't believe how quick our silly little boy is growing up! Atticus starts pre-school this fall. He is SO excited that his cousin Spencer is comming to visit this weekend, and keeps asking when he will be here.

My sister Angie and her family (John, Kylie, and Matthew) came for a visit last weekend. We had so much fun while they were here! Many LATE nights playing rockband and hanging out talking. The kids are SO cute together. Atticus loves his cousins. Both Kylie and Matthew were so sweet with Harper, and wanted to hold her as much as they could...although they did have to fight their mom on that one(she wanted Harper all to herself). Its a good thing April wasn't visiting too, or there may have been some punches thrown over who got to hold Harper. LOL! Thanks for coming and playing, we miss you guys already!

Harper had her two month check-up and immunizations today. Our little girl is a whopping 11 lbs and 15 oz. She still hasn't grown very much but is gaining weight like a champ! The Dr. said she is doing great,both health and developmentally. Harper is a silly girl, when the Dr. was checking her mouth with a tongue depressor she was laughing! Dr. McBride said that she has never had a baby laugh while doing that. Then came the shots...lets just say there was NO laughing going on then. LOTS of screaming. So sad.

While we were at the Doc's we weighed and measured Atticus. He is 39 inches and weighs 35 pounds. He was excited, only one more inch and he can go on Star Wars (Star Tours) at Disneyland. Hopefully he will get that inch by the time we go in Sept. EVERY time we go to Disneyland he is so sad because he is not tall enough! Atticus is FINALLY mastering the potty! YAY for only one child in diapers! Way to go Atticus.

This year we did 4th of July at our house! We were suppose to BBQ but the BBQ-er was having some problems (so sad). So we grilled the burgers inside and got the BBQ-er working for the hot dogs. It turned out to be a lot of fun, with some rockband on the PS3 and then TONS of fireworks! That little tank firework was so cute, it had wheels and rolled and then started sparkling and then it would fire a "shot". Towards the end everyone was getting creative...Sara and Chris were taping some little ones together to make a longer sparkle. Thanks everyone for coming we had a good time. We love our family and friends, and missed those that couldn't be there! Happy 4th of July.

Today(the 4th) Harper is 2 months old. Time has gone by so fast! Our little girl is growing like crazy. Her 2 month check up and immunizations is on the 9th so I will post her stats then. Harper has been accomplishing so much. Holding her head up, trying to roll over, SLEEPING 8 hours a night!, getting teeth, and the list goes on. She is all smiles and talkative almost all of the time. When she is hungry oh man will you know, the girl loves her food and has a hard time waiting even a second! She still loves the shower and bath. She also loves her brother and he loves her. Atticus is an amazing big brother, we love him so much. We love our little Harper and are so glad that she is a part of our family.

Last weekend we saw Wall-e. Seriously it was such a great movie! Atticus was glued to the screen, and now wants all things Wall-e. Harper slept in the baby bjorn up until about 30 min left of the movie, and then just took a bottle and didn't fuss at all. So,Keith and I got to watch the whole movie too. Wall-e got a 96% on rottentomatoes.com which is REALLY good! Heres one of the tag line things,
What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off? WALL-E, a robot, spends every day doing what he was made for. But soon, he will discover what he was meant for. I don't want to say to much, because I am one of those people who can't describe a movie without giving too much away. Just take my word for it you and your kids will LOVE the movie. I even cried towards the end.

Yesterday Atticus and Harper were having a great time playing (Harper just watching, and holding cars.) in Atticus' room. Atticus had fun showing her all of his hot wheels (he has MANY) and different toys that he loves! She was wide eyed and was "talking" a lot. She is growing so fast and it will only be a matter of time before she will be able to really play with him. <3!

On Monday Atticus went to the movies without Keith and I for the first time. He got to be one of the big kids and went with Aubreana, Austin, and Grandma to see Kung Fu Panda. He had an awesome time! Thanks Mom for inviting him. Every picture I tried to take of them Atticus would not stop moving so the one above is the best one.

So, I wasn't sure I was going to share this story...but I couldn't resist. It all started a few weekends ago when we were at my parents house. We were all outside when Bella(see picture above) saw that 3 of my parents neighbors chickens came into the back of their yard. What does she do? Run after them...and nobody noticed until she had one pinned to the ground. Allison(my little sister) takes off to try and get her. The back of my parents yard is like 10 or more feet from where we were. She can't get Bella so for some reason I think I can run and get her, even though I was 4 weeks postpartum and had a C-section no less, crazy? I know. So, I am trying to get Bella and she is still trying to get the chickens who are still in the yard(dumb chickens) when I yell to Allison to throw the chickens back over the fence. This is where we discover Allison's phobia of chickens...what? Thats where it starts to get funny, even though watching us was most likely the funniest part.
Long story short my dad runs over and FINALLY Bella is captured. By this time the chickens are huddled by the back fence, and one of them thought it could fit through the fence so one chicken is stuck in the fence. I wish I had a picture of that! My dad pulled it out and threw all of the chickens back over the fence. None of them died thank goodness.
Maybe this was only funny to me but I thought I would share. This goes on the list of things I never thought I would be doing since where I grew up (Orange, CA) there were no neighbors with chickens, cows, sheep, or horses. Maybe I will post that list this week...maybe.

How does that primary song go? " I'm so glad when daddy comes home glad as I can be." This is how Atticus feels when Keith gets home. They have this game that they play, when Atticus hears the garage door open he runs to find a hiding place. Keith comes in and says "where is Atticus" in a loud voice and continues until he finds Atticus and tickles him.He then comes and gives Harper and I kisses.
Keith is such an awesome dad and husband! He does so much for our family, and we love him for that! My life changed for the better 5 years ago when we met and has continued to get better! Thanks for all you do! We love you Keith!

As of yesterday Harper is a month old...yay! She has changed so much already. She weighs in at 9lbs 13oz. She is getting two bottom teeth, holds her head up for long periods of time, loves the shower, likes getting kisses from her brother,and being outside. She is so sweet and we love her so much! Also on Monday I buzzed Atticus and Keiths hair. I have two videos to post but they were taking ten years to upload. Here are some pictures though.

So, our long holiday weekend was mostly spent at home. Atticus had been doing a pretty good job using the potty, but has had a huge setback. He spent most of the weekend on the potty and pant less. Our dear little bunny (Harper) at 3 weeks old is getting a couple bottom teeth. No joke! Poor little girl, you look in and can see white and you can feel two little sharp teeth. Good news, she still loves the shower, and calms down the minute she hears the water. Other then that everyone is doing well, and enjoyed being lazy this weekend! Hope everyone had a fun holiday weekend whatever you did. <3!
