This little guy is a Coati I think...he is a part of the Raccoon family and he was going through bags and stole Harper's Gatorade right from her hands and started to drink it! It was funny to everyone except Harper.

Just 45 minutes from Las Vegas in the little town of Moapa you will find Roos-N-More an ed-zoo-cational zoo. This place is awesome! The kids and I went on the 13th with a school group of about 25 (ages 9months-15 years) and had the whole place to ourselves! The kids got to do many once in a life time things (well, until we go again) like feel the inside of a kangaroo pouch, pet a sloth, hold an otter, play with a monkey, play with a binturong (and have it crawl all over them), pet a toucan, pet an ant eater, feed camels (some even "kissed" the camels), pet a baby porcupine, and the list goes on! I took a ton of pictures and some video, but will not overload you too much with pictures! I will however post all of the pictures on facebook if you would like to see them all! I definitely recommend going to roos-n-more and if you can book a private tour on a day they are closed to the public!

Life...

So, this here blog has been suffering for uhhh, lets just say many many months! We have been busy, so that is a good thing right? Anyway, I am not going to try and bring this up to speed with the 10 million pictures that I have from the past few months (that is what facebook is for) anyway, here is to hoping this little blog gets more attention from me and soon!

Happy Birthday Keefy!

Today is my hubby's birthday! He seriously is the best husband and father anyone could ask for! I think he had a good day, starting out with sleeping in, seeing his side of the bed heart-attacked, opening presents, laughing at the cards the kids made, relaxing all day, having philly cheese steaks for dinner and that cake above that I slaved over all day (and by slaved over I mean I ran over to Costco to pick it up)! Happy Birthday Keith! We love you! ♥

So, a little bragging is in order! Haha. Atticus took the DRA test and scored an 18! I am not sure how they score it, but his teacher said that other kids his age score a 3 or 4! She also said that he could read 2/3 of the third grade word list! He will be in a reading group with second graders and may even skip ahead a couple of grades (not sure how I feel about that one though). We will know more in the next couple of weeks and will update. I am SO SO proud of Atticus! I can't believe how quickly he is growing up. ♥

We started the day with haircuts and Golden Spoon and ended it by adding a new member to the family! Dottie is a Dumbo rat who we fell in love with at PetSmart! The kids LOVE her! She is such a sweetie! Harper meows at her and yells "DOT"! Every few seconds during dinner Atticus kept asking if he could go check on Dottie and tell her what we were having for dinner. He even told her all about his day before bed, it was very cute!! We ♥ rats!

Thanks again to Frank we got to enjoy a fun night in an awesome room over at Bally's! We walked through the Paris, and over to the showcase (Everything Coke and M&Ms World). We had Nathans hot dogs for the first time and it was really good! Now we all want a huge tub like that in our house! Haha!
